Hello, I just saw your show on Discovery and for some reason decided to do a search and see if I can find you guys online... well I did! However, I was not expecting to find out that you guys had gotten divorced. I just want to share something with you. I have 4 kids, the first 2 are from a previous marriage. I would like to tell you that if you think that divorcing your wife was going to make things easier or better for everyone, you are in for a surprise. I could only imagine what you guys have to go thru with the kids as my kids are not the same age but being divorced is just going to bring more issues and problems. Your kids are always going to do better if their parents are together unless there is some kind of abuse or something like that, which I don't think that was the case. I'm not leaving this comment to criticize or anything like that. It just breaks my heart to see your beautiful kids have to deal with divorce parents. You should ask God to help you out. The bible says that you can do anything with God that strengths you. With Him on your side everything is possible. I will keep your family in my prayers. God bless you.

I'm just catching up on your blog. I've been a fan of your shows and thought it was so neat that you lived near Philly. I'm glad to see you're posting again! Sorry to hear that you and your wife are splitting up. I'm glad you got to go to the dance even if it was "her" weekend. My parents divorced when I was a kid and they were so mean sometimes. I remember my dad not even letting us call her because the long distance cost too much and he was really fussy about his weekends being all his! It sounds like the two of you are doing a much better job than mine did!! But then the whole reason I liked your specials so much is that you could see how much you put your kids first. Can't wait to read more of your posts!

i love your show- so sorry to see that your marriage has not lasted...i know these situations are tough- and I'm sure you and your wife are doing the most you can possible can to keep a stable home environment for those lovely kids of yours. After all- once we have kids- it is all about them, right?!! I'm sure you and Geana are learning how you treat each other (married or not) is vitally important to the security of your kids, and that the two of you are figuring this out together with the best interests of the kids as the top priority. But reading your posts and seeing how you love your family, I'm sure the kids are only seeing respect between you two and that you are doing your best not to change too much in their lives or upset them unduly!

It's an amazing thing, this Santa Claus. As a soon to be dad, I definitely struggle with the idea of "lying" to my kids. But... the IDEA of Santa Claus brings such joy and good "tidings" with it. It really is amazing.

WOW! What a story and challenge! Thank you for thinking of the Soccer Hall of Fame. I, personally at age 99, may not make it to 2045, but the Hall of Fame will live on waiting for Sam! I hope to meet you and the gang at a Philadelphia Union or Independence match next year.

Oh, get into kicking a soccer ball around with the kids on Saturday. That will help them get ready.
