I'm Back...

I took some time off from this blog and I'm a bit regretful that I have.   See - it has been difficult for me to post anything for the past two years or so because I tend to write about whatever I'm thinking or feeling.   I didn't feel like this was a forum that I wanted to use...

Geana & I separated in March of 2011 and are currently working through the process of a divorce.  It is sad.  It's not how I wanted my children to grow up - being carted from here to there and then back again.  It's sad but it's also what is best for the two of us and, ultimately, our children.  In a lot of ways I feel like I'm simply becoming a statistic, adding to the high divorce rate of parents of high-order multiples.

I've been grappling with what to do with regards to this blog.  Should I shut it down?  Should I just never post again?  What?  I was reflecting the other day and realized that I created this blog to be a catalogue, or diary, of my thoughts and experiences with my kids.  This is for them and, ultimately, will be a gift to them that they can read through whenever they like.  Because of that I'm going to continue to post.  However - before I can do that, I feel like I have to acknowledge this huge change to our lives before I can put into context any of our future adventures.

We'll see how frequently that happens.  My intent is to catalogue our time together - whatever mischief we come across...

I am local to you and your family and whenever in Delco I wondered if I would ever bump into your family. After I saw your special on discovery health I thought it was pretty cool you guys were so close to where I live....small world!
Your kiddos are too cute and so sorry to hear about you and your wife.

i love your show- so sorry to see that your marriage has not lasted...i know these situations are tough- and I'm sure you and your wife are doing the most you can possible can to keep a stable home environment for those lovely kids of yours. After all- once we have kids- it is all about them, right?!! I'm sure you and Geana are learning how you treat each other (married or not) is vitally important to the security of your kids, and that the two of you are figuring this out together with the best interests of the kids as the top priority. But reading your posts and seeing how you love your family, I'm sure the kids are only seeing respect between you two and that you are doing your best not to change too much in their lives or upset them unduly!

Hello, I just saw your show on Discovery and for some reason decided to do a search and see if I can find you guys online... well I did! However, I was not expecting to find out that you guys had gotten divorced. I just want to share something with you. I have 4 kids, the first 2 are from a previous marriage. I would like to tell you that if you think that divorcing your wife was going to make things easier or better for everyone, you are in for a surprise. I could only imagine what you guys have to go thru with the kids as my kids are not the same age but being divorced is just going to bring more issues and problems. Your kids are always going to do better if their parents are together unless there is some kind of abuse or something like that, which I don't think that was the case. I'm not leaving this comment to criticize or anything like that. It just breaks my heart to see your beautiful kids have to deal with divorce parents. You should ask God to help you out. The bible says that you can do anything with God that strengths you. With Him on your side everything is possible. I will keep your family in my prayers. God bless you.
